Despite first grade losing the grand final and other teams placing further down the ladder, players, committee members and supporters all agreed what a great year the 2017 season was.
There was much commendation and festivity throughout the evening at major sponsors the Nyngan RSL.
First time Tigers Captain Coach Stewart Mills was commended for his leadership of the Club, in return Mills spoke about what a great season the Tigers have had.
“When I first rocked up I didn’t think much of [Nyngan],” he said.
“We had three or four blokes at training. Now there is a close bond between us all and that’s what makes the Club so successful, that’s what makes a great football team and a great club. Numbers grew and by round one we had a team and what we’ve achieved since then is phenomenal.
“I am over the moon about this year. My boys what a ride it’s been, it’s been unreal. We set a goal if we make the semi-finals we’d be happy. We’re all together and we did something special, I’m very proud of everyone here.”

Mills presented Todd Rope, who is retiring after over 300 games for the Club, a framed jersey.
Rope said he hopes everyone is enjoying the ride Nyngan Rugby League is on.
“Nyngan is going somewhere. To be where we are now is a credit to you guys, you are all family to me. We love our footy here in Nyngan," he said.
