Miss Bakic has moved from Newcastle and Port Macquarie, and said the move to Nyngan has “been a really good adventure”.
She said that for the past three years she has been teaching infants and is now excited to be teaching this year’s 4/5 class. “It’s been good to have a change, and the kids are much older so it’s great to have that relationship with them.”
Miss Bakic said that after coming from a big school, she is enjoying the relationship with the staff and the kids.
Miss Wallwork is Nyngan Public’s year 2 teacher, and has a full classroom of 22 students. “I’m loving it … it’s very good,” she said.
Miss Wallwork grew up in Young and has previously worked at preschools and primary schools in West Wyalong.
She said that working in a community like Nyngan is important, and great to build better relationships with the kids and the community.
