This year Warren are getting behind the social event with Three Rivers Machinery partnering up to be this year’s major event sponsor.
Operations Manager at Three Rivers, Ruth Plunkett said they are really excited to be sponsoring this year’s Picnics, which continues to get bigger and better each year.
“It is a great community initiative which has been gaining traction year on year,” Ms Plunkett said.
“It is important for small communities to have events to bring the town together and inject needed funds into the town.
“To be a part of it as a sponsor assists the committee to promote and ensure a top notch day and attract people to come near and far,” she said.
Ms Plunkett said Nyngan are a big customer of Three Rivers who supply the area with brands such as Case IH, K-Line Ag, MacDon, Dunstan, Agrispread and Simplicity to name a few.
“To support this community event where our customers are based is our privilege,” she said.
This year Duck Creek are Doing it for Dolly and donating money to Dolly’s Dream, helping to raise awareness about the serious and devastating impacts of bullying.
Ms Plunkett said Three Rivers Machinery were proud to be supporting such a worthwhile charity.
“I think the committee have chosen a very worthy charity to support and it creates awareness to all and importantly targets the younger race goers who will be in high attendance on the 7th.”
“Any charity that encourages speaking out against bullying in this day and age is worth supporting and promoting with all efforts, and Three Rivers Machinery are lucky to be a part of it,” she said.
Other major sponsor David Dwyer of Dwyers Transport Warren, said his family have been long time supporters of the Picnics and believed this year’s charity was incredibly important to get behind.
“I’ve got young kids who could be in the same situation that little girl was in, and I thought well it would be a great idea,” Mr Dwyer said.
“With the internet coming the way it’s becoming today I just feel that we need to jump on board as much as we can and hopefully make kids realise what they say and do can affect other people.”
“I like supporting organisations that help underprivileged kids or kids that are suffering, there is no need for kids to be suffering ... they need the adults to stand up for them,” he said.
Three Rivers Machinery and Dwyers Transport thank the tireless race committee for what they know will be a highly successful and fun day foe everyone.
