The mid-week was also a washout, Saturdays Stableford was played on a heavy track and former local Steve Iverach (Dubbo) took a liking to the conditions in particular the back nine where he amassed 21 points for a grand total of 39 points.
He beat local legend Anthony Ah See on a count-back, he excelled on the damper from nine with 20 pts and fared pretty well on the way home to just miss out.
Tim Lewis put himself behind the eight ball with a lot of wayward Tee shots and did well to score 37 points.
Tony Lewis had 36 pts a few birdies and a few double bogeys plus a washout kept him on the back foot.
No one managed to win a NTP so they go into the Jackpot pool.
Eight locals travelled to Tottenham for their open the only success was Croc Read winning the A grade handicap.
Next Saturday is an 18 Hole Stableford plus the Duck Creek races.
Sunday is one of the Major games, the Foursomes Championships over 27 holes for men’s and the ladies with a 10am start.
Badge draw is up to $1600, Brian Morriss was way too hard with his attempt at the $690 Jackputt, it will be a foot closer next time.

Farewell
Bob Foran, who passed away recently at his hometown of Gilgandra, made a significant contribution to the sport of racing during his long career as a race caller.
Highly respected by his peers and the general public, he reached many milestones from when calling his first meeting, which included the Gilgandra Cup, as a 13 year old, to calling the Gilgandra Cup for a record 60th time.
Possessed of a very pleasant, easy to listen to voice, Bob’s calls were accurate, grammatically correct and always presented in a professional manner.
His audiences ranged from on course racegoers at dusty outback tracks to those listening to country TAB meetings broadcast by Racing Radio and those viewing Australian racing, world wide on Sky Channel.
A special attribute was Bob’s ability to relate how well a horse was travelling during a race and this probably came from his past experience as a track work rider and trainer where his numerous successes included winning in Sydney with Veritas.
Bob also helped his father the late Vic Foran with the training of the legendary country galloper Border Ghost, winner of an incredible 50 Races.
Many sports were played by the talented Bob Foran and he particularly excelled at cricket, representing Country Firsts against City.
Over the past eight years Bob suffered ill health with many major operations and associated painful procedures however he maintained a positive attitude and continued calling races when possible.
Throughout this harrowing time Bob received tremendous support from his family and also the people of Gilgandra. When Bob hurt they hurt.
Evidence of the great respect for Bob Foran was the very big crowd at his funeral held at his beloved Gilgandra.
