Three Nyngan girls made their way to Tamworth to participate in the three day Country Capital Cup from June 15 - 17.

Gemma Boland, Grace Boland and Amber Dutton travel to Dubbo each Saturday to train for gymnastics at the Dubbo RSL Youth Club. The Nyngan girls were placed in a team together, with another child from Dubbo who was unfortunately unable to compete.
The girls each participated in all four apparatus including the vault, balance beam, uneven bars and floor, with each individual score contributing to the overall team score.

The girls were honoured to lead the procession of gymnast onto the floor, presenting and smiling to judges and the crowd. This was Grace and Gemma’s first competition for gymnastics, but this did not stop them from achieving great scores.
Grace’s overall score was 31.255 landing a position of 13th overall. Gemma scored 32.025 with a position of 11th overall. Amber placed 7th overall scoring 33.350. As a team the three girls positioned 8th in the Cup.
The girls not only encouraged each other, however showed great sportsmanship also supporting the friends they have meet through gymnastics.
