Police are appealing for assistance after a car accident near the Peter Sinclair bridge early Sunday morning.

Emergency Services were called to the accident at the intersection of Pangee and Nyngan street at about 12.05am on Sunday morning.
It is believed the white ute, travelling into town along the Mitchell Highway, was driving too fast while trying to turn right onto Nyngan Street, when it left the road, flipped and narrowly missed the light pole.
According to police, witnesses saw three or four occupants of the vehicle flea the scene.
Police allege the vehicle had tampered number plates, painted with incorrect details.
Nyngan police have started investigations to discover the occupants of the car and are appealing to any members of the community who may be able to assist with inquiries.
Police have said they take this matter very seriously as this type driving puts the public at risk, appealing to road users to take care whilst driving.
Anyone with information regarding this matter on Sunday morning are urged to contact the Nyngan police station on 6831 1399.
Police are ensuring that information provided will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
The are also reminding people that they should not report crime information via their social media pages.
