Every year one of Nyngan’s five different churches organises this event.
This year it was the Uniting Church’s turn, and with input from members of all the other churches as well, a wonderful evening was enjoyed by everyone.
Reverend Peter Harvey, a Uniting Church minister from Wellington, ensured the program ran smoothly and the crowd was fortunate to have Royden Donohoe, Gabe Holmes and Caleb Dutschke provide the music, which was most appreciated.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
The choir consisted of some amazing voices from members of the churches and the community and together with the fantastic musical backing, they very ably lead the carol singing.
The crowd was delighted with the items put on by the children from the Nyngan Preschool, the Early Learning Centre, St Joseph’s Catholic School and Nyngan Public School.
Representatives from our different churches shared bible passages proclaiming the birth of our Lord Jesus and Father Graeme organised some enthusiastic bell ringers for the singing of 'Jingle Bells' and ‘Jingle Bell Rock’.
Over $325 was contributed to the Christmas Bowl Appeal, with the popular neon candles selling out.
It was great to see so many members of the Nyngan community support this most enjoyable event.
