This year there are a number of events for locals to get involved in.
NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia.
This years' theme 'Voice, Treaty, Truth: Let's work together for a shared future' focuses on Indigenous Australians' voice and encourages people from all backgrounds to come together and work towards a shared future
Monday, July 1
- Opening 'Walk with us' - 9.40am
- Opening ceremony at the Bogan Shire Council - 10am
- ELC morning tea - 11.30am
- Preschool afternoon tea 2pm
Tuesday, July 2
- Nyngan High School - Cultural Showcase day on Cobar Street from 11am
Wednesday, July 3
- Nyngan Public School - Cultural Showcase day on Dandaloo Street from 9am
Thursday, July 4
- St Joseph's Primary - Cultural Showcase day on Bogan Street from 10.30am
- Hermidale Public School - Small School's showcase
Friday, July 5
- Community Day - Rotary Park from 10am-2pm
- NAIDOC dinner at the Nyngan RSL Club
