Students from Nyngan High School, St Josephs' School and Nyngan Public have helped the Bogan Shire Council by planting 40 trees along Nymagee Street and the Nyngan Showground to celebrate the annual event.
The council have been supporting this event for over 15 years, and believe it gives ownership to the students and helps promote the message about how important trees are for the town.
Schools Tree Day and National Tree Day, organised by Planet Ark in partnership with Toyota, and take place on Friday, July 26 and Sunday, July 28.
