Nyngan A which included Samuel, Shania, Oliver and Kate were the negative team in the debate 'that drones should be banned', against Narromine B.
Nyngan were awarded the win.
The team also debated against Narromine A on the topic 'that swimming lessons should be free'.
In this debate they were the affirmative and although they put up some great arguments, Narromine A were awarded the win.
Unfortunately Bourke were unable to attend the debate as their team were unwell.
Due to this Nyngan B including Mia, Lily, Julian and Summer, received the win by forfeit.
Many thanks to Narromine A for stepping up at the last moment for a practise round with our B team.
Nyngan B will compete in round three against Tottenham on August 28.
We would like to thank Alex Boyden from the High School for being our adjudicator and giving our students positive feedback and tips for future debating.
Thanks also to Roxy for being our MC, Caitlin and Matt for time keeping and bell ringing.
It was a tremendous experience for all the children who participated and we are hoping this will be an annual event that we can look for to.
