On Tuesday it was announced that 67 recipients would receive a share of $67,050 under CSU's Community-University Partnership Grant.

Nine Orana-based groups were among 28 successful recipients from across the Central West.

Dubbo and District's Can Assist branch, Inspire Netball Club Dubbo and the Rotary Club of Dubbo Macquarie were among those who received a grant.

Also listed as successful recipients were: Wellington High School, St Mary's Catholic School Wellington, Wellington Public School, Narromine Christian School and Narromine Little Athletics Club and Wellington District Cricket Association.

CSU director of industry and community engagement Associate Professor Laura Dan said the university was thrilled with the community's response to the grants program.

"We are delighted with widespread support the grants program has received from the community and the impact this program will have across the university's regional footprint," she said.

"Each application was carefully assessed against the selection criteria. There were many worthy applications, and we look forward to the positive outcomes each project achieves in supporting their community.

This was the second round of the CSU grants program this year, with more than $120,000 given out.

Applications for the grants were available across five categories: arts and culture, sports development, education development, Indigenous engagement, and health and wellbeing.

The University received 115 applications this round across five categories, the highest number of grant applications since the program began.
