He will be joined by Will Marr and Michael Kennedy as vice presidents, while Kathy Korn will remain as secretary and Emily Pitt has stayed as treasurer.
Mr Robb has been heavily involved in the show. He's been on the show committee for about 25 years and eight years ago became a life member. Before taking on his current role he was the senior vice president.
"A show is a very important thing for our community. When there's no show you can see other things fall apart. We never, ever want that to happen to Nyngan," Mr Robb said.
"It brings money to the town, it brings people to the town. I've run into people at the Nyngan show that I haven't seen for 12 months because I haven't seen them since the last show."
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
The drought has brought the future of the show into question. But Mr Robb, who is also a horse trainer and the Nyngan Pony Club president, said it was an integral part of the community.
"The dry times are telling. I've had people say 'why would you go on with the show it's too dry?' but I reckon when you lose something it's hard to get it back," he said.
"People have got to meet other people and meet old friends and most times that is done at the showground."
The Nyngan local said to was an honour to become the show president.
"I never set out to be the greatest president and you don't have to do that when you've got a very strong committee in front of you. When decisions have got to be made we make them and stick by each other," Mr Robb said.
He said there was a joke among the committee that it was actually the secretary and treasurer who lead them.
Mr Robb has taken over the position from Chris Elder, who died last year.
Mr Robb said Mr Elder was one of many good leaders the Nynagn Show had been fortunate enough to have.
"Chris, he was a Nynagn boy and he loved the job as president and he could do it good as well. He came up through the pony club with myself. He did a lot of good things, Chris," Mr Robb said.
Under the Nyngan Show Society constitution, Mr Robb will stay in the role for the next three years.
