The spotlight may be on Sheffield Shield's spinners but Queensland quick Michael Neser is hoping a bagful in their top of the table clash against NSW will sway national selectors.

Tweakers have suddenly become the focus of the final Shield round before the BBL break starting on Saturday.
The interest comes as national selectors claimed the search was on for support to Nathan Lyon, particularly with a Sydney Test match against New Zealand looming in the New Year.
And Neser says the SCG Shield pitch prepared for the Bulls clash may be tailor-made for spinners to make a Test statement.
However, the Queensland paceman still believed he could remain in the Test mix after being released from the national squad to take on the Blues.
Neser admitted he was well down the pace pecking order ahead of Australia's first Test against Kiwis in a pink-ball clash at Perth starting next week.
He would know after having the best seat in the house carrying drinks in the recent Test series win over Pakistan as Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc ripped through the visitors.
But the lively Bulls speedster still hoped he could get a crack at the Kiwis if he impressed against runaway Shield leaders NSW.
The Blues are top the table with a formidable four win, one draw start after five games ahead of second placed Bulls (three wins, one loss, one draw).
"I can see the (Test bowling) pecking order. I am a bit behind. I have to wait my turn. But if they decide to rest a quick hopefully I am contention," Neser told AAP.
"But a bagful against NSW definitely won't hurt. I imagine spin will play a role at the SCG but that also means reverse swing which offers the fast bowlers something - it will be interesting."
Neser was left carrying the drinks for the Test side against Pakistan, denying him another chance to stake a baggy green claim in Queensland's recent 10-wicket, two-day Shield win over Tasmania in Hobart.
While Neser admitted he wondered what havoc he could have created in Tasmania, he had no complaints about being left in the Test squad.
"Looking back it would have been a fun wicket to bowl on but to be part of the Aussie squad is pretty exciting - I am not too down in the dumps," he said.
Neser also predicted Bulls skipper Usman Khawaja to make selectors sit up and take notice after being overlooked for the Test side to date.
While Bulls batsman Marnus Labuschagne appears to have stitched up Khawaja's preferred Test No.3 role, Neser said the Queensland captain should be considered for any place in the Australian top order.
"I still reckon he is one of the best batsmen going around in the country," Neser said.
"Marnus is still going well but I still think they can fit Ussie in that line-up.
"He can bat in different spots. He's not stuck in one position. I still see Ussie has a future in Australian cricket - I am hoping he puts on a big score this week."
In other Shield clashes starting on Saturday, third-placed Western Australia travel to play last-placed Victoria while fourth-placed Tasmania host South Australia in Hobart.
