After a short hiatus, the ever-popular fight night is back with eight young local competitors all vying for titles. 

Owner of the Shed Boxing Club Troy Richards said the carpark of the Nyngan RSL will be a great venue for the night, which aims to raise money for the shed, to allow young boxers to continue practising. 

“We haven’t had a fight night for about four years, so it’s back with money raised for the Shed Boxing Club so kids and young adults don’t have to,” Richards said.

This year there are eight local boxers competing as well as fighters from Victoria, Queensland, Sydney and the North Coast, with a number of belts, medals and trophy's up for grabs.

Richards said there are four Global Titles, three country NSW titles, one NSW state title and two mid-western district titles all highly contested. 

“It’s something different for the community, and in the past locals have been really supportive of the event,” Richards said.

“It’s a great opportunity for people to not only have a chance to see our locals compete, but get a taste for an unbelievable line up of some of the best amateur boxing talent in Australia.”

“To have some of Australia’s greatest amateur boxes compete in Nyngan is a big thing.”

“I hope everyone comes along and enjoys themselves on a night of entertainment,” he said.

Nyngan’s Fight Night will be held at the RSL club on Saturday, November 3 with doors opening at 6pm for a 7pm start.

After party entertainment will also take place until late. 

Tickets are currently on sale at the Nyngan RSL Club and are $30 per adult and $20 for those under 18.
