The female driver was seen driving in an erratic manner turning off Dandaloo Street about 1.50am on Saturday, January 5.
Nyngan Police stopped the vehicle in the main street.
Police conducted a roadside breath test, which allegedly indicted alcohol in the woman’s system.
The driver was arrested and taken to Nyngan Police Station for a breath analysis.
The female driver returned a reading of 0.189, over three times the legal limit.
The offender was charged with high-range prescribed concentration of alcohol, and her licence has been suspended.
She is due to face Nyngan Local Court in February.
Nyngan Police Sergeant Tony Wood said police will always target drink drivers who pose a considered risk to the community.
“It’s our desire to keep the community safe,” he said.
