Ms Callaghan has personal history with the organisation and said as a child she spent four years at the Royal Far West.

"If it wasn't for them I probably wouldn't have got where I am today," she said.

Royal Far West was started in 1924 and helps country kids connect to the healthcare they need but couldn't otherwise access.

The organisation supports close to 3000 families in regional and remote Australia every year, access health care and family support.

Ms Callaghan became a member in the early 70s in Dubbo and when she moved to Nyngan in 1983 continued her membership here in Nyngan.

She said the Royal Far West was previously known as Wagon Wheelers but changed their name in the late 80s.

Since 2014, she has held the position of treasurer in Nyngan but has always played a role with the branch.

Through fundraising the branch raise money to help support specialist treatment for children with limited access to services.

In 2018 the Nyngan branch donated $4000 to the organisation through street stalls and the Nyngan Ag Expo.

The long-serving member said she will continue to support the organisation for many more years to come.
