About 12.20am on Sunday officers attached to the Central North Police District stopped a Toyota Hilux on Merilba Street, Nyngan after the driver allegedly almost collided with a police vehicle when turning at an intersection.
The driver returned a positive result after being subjected to a random breath test.
He was arrested and taken to Nyngan Police Station where a subsequent breath analysis allegedly returned a reading of 0.048.
The 18-year-old man was issued with a field court attendance notice for special category driver drive with special-range PCA, and not comply P1 licence - no P-plates.
The man will appear at Nyngan Local Court on Monday, May 25.
