This year fans young and old were inspired by the King’s second biggest hit song on the US charts, All Shook Up.
Mr Donohue was part of an estimated 27,000 people who were All Shook Up for the festival wandering down Festival Boulevard taking in the music and voting for their favourite busking competition.
Parkes’ main street was alive and rocking with buskers since the start of the festival on January 9.
The festival now in its 27th year is drawing masses of spectators and performers from interstate and abroad, many who hold a lifelong passion for the rock ‘n’ roll legend.
Buskers and fans alike have represented a range of Elvii – from the early days of the 1950s, to GI, through to the ‘68 Comeback and Vegas Elvis.
With the ongoing drought, the festival is a welcome financial and morale boost for the community.
