Young and old went down to the fire station for a sausage sizzle and the chance to chat to local firies about the critical work they do and about home fire safety.
Nyngan FRNSW Deputy Captain Adam Bourke said it was a great day, and thanked the community for their support.
"The day went well,we had more people then we expected due to people been out of town," Deputy Captain Bourke said.

"We had to change the date from the original day due to the crew carrying out rescue qualifications.
"The kids got to enjoy looking over the trucks, talking to the firies, learning about fire safety and getting some goodies.
"We did a house fire scenario with the new tier three training prop and sent a firefighter in breathing apparatus to remove a dummy from the smoke filled house.
"All in all a good day and we thank the community for stopping by and checking out the station."
With winter fast approaching members of FRNSW are reminding people to be careful when using heaters.
FRNSW Community Safety and Research Chief Superintendent Mick Morris said the cooler months see a 10 per cent increase in the number of home fires, due to heaters and electric blankets.
"Don't put yourself or your family at risk. We want to remind people to be careful when using heaters and to keep everything in the house 'a metre from the heater'," he said.
